How To Save Printer Ink

7th Sep 2017

When it comes to saving the ink in your printer cartridges here in the UK, there are plenty of things you can do to do so. We care about our customers, and we understand more than anyone that printer cartridges can get pricey, especially if you’re someone who prints a lot of documents and pictures. Whatever your reasoning is for using up all of your printer’s ink, here are 10 ways that you can make an ink cartridge last longer than usual.

Make sure that you’re only printing exactly what you need. Before you start your printing job, decide whether or not it is necessary. Additionally, you may be able to share whatever you’re wanting to print as a PDF in order to save a considerable amount of ink.

Use the print preview window to your advantage. Using print preview will allow you to see how the document will be printed. If there is something that you don’t like, you can change the document before you print.

If you don’t need graphics, don’t print them. Graphics can take up a lot of ink, so it may be more beneficial for you to print text instead of graphics.

If you can print in draft mode, do it! Printing in draft mode will change the quality of the print job, but if you’re document can be printed in lower resolution, take advantage of it.

Be sure that you’re printing your text documents in black ink only. Black ink lasts much longer than any other colour you choose, so choose black whenever possible.
